Terms of Service

Effective Date: October 20, 2026 • Version 1.0 (Public Alpha)

By downloading, accessing, or participating in the Project Kami mobile app or web platform, you agree to these Terms.

1Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Project Kami (“we”, “our”, or “us”) governing your access to and use of the Project Kami mobile application (Android APK/Expo), web application at projectkami.net, smart contracts on the Base network, and associated services (collectively, the “Platform”).

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Platform.

2Eligibility & Age Requirements

You must be at least 13 years of age (or the minimum legal age required in your jurisdiction) to use Project Kami. By using the Platform, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18 years old, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

3Authentication & Privy Embedded Wallets

Project Kami leverages Privy to provide frictionless authentication (via Google, Discord, Apple, or email) and automatically provisions a non-custodial embedded wallet on the Base Sepolia testnet.

  • You are solely responsible for safeguarding the credentials associated with your authentication provider.
  • Your wallet operates on-chain. Project Kami never stores or has custody of your private cryptographic keys.
  • You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account or any other breach of security.

4Platform Gameplay & Mechanics

Project Kami provides an interactive anime debate arena featuring:

  • The Forge: Real-time evaluation of community anime debates using directional gestures (Agree, Hell Yes, Pass).
  • The Verdict: Live calculation of consensus percentages and prediction accuracy rewards.
  • The Architect Studio: Community creation and publishing of new anime debate prompts powered by AniList metadata.
  • Hall of Kami: Global rankings determined by Curator Score, Architect Score, and consecutive consensus win streaks.

5$KAMI Digital Tokens & Testnet Disclaimer

Important Notice on Testnet Utility: $KAMI tokens issued on Base Sepolia are community testnet tokens designed solely for in-game mechanics, rewards testing, and cosmetic unlocks. They carry no monetary value, do not represent securities or financial instruments, and should not be purchased or treated as an investment.

Gas fees for on-chain swipes and reward distributions are currently sponsored gaslessly via the Project Kami paymaster infrastructure. We reserve the right to modify or adjust token distribution rates, cooldown periods, and faucet quotas at our sole discretion.

6Community Guidelines & Prohibited Conduct

To maintain an authentic, respectful, and competitive debate environment, you agree NOT to:

  • Deploy automated bots, scripts, or scrapers to farm swipes or manipulate consensus outcomes.
  • Engage in Sybil attacks by creating multiple accounts to artificially boost debate visibility or token earnings.
  • Publish hate speech, harassment, explicit/NSFW imagery, threats of violence, or defamatory material.
  • Attempt to exploit, reverse engineer, or disrupt the smart contracts or backend APIs.

Violation of these rules may result in immediate account suspension, forfeiture of leaderboard rankings, and permanent blacklisting of associated wallet addresses.

7Intellectual Property & Anime Metadata

Anime titles, character depictions, and artwork displayed on the Platform are retrieved through the open AniList GraphQL API and are the property of their respective creators, animation studios, and copyright holders. Project Kami makes non-commercial, transformative editorial use of this imagery for community discussion and commentary under fair use doctrine.

All Project Kami branding, logos, graphics, and custom code are proprietary to Project Kami. You retain ownership of original debate prompt text created by you, but grant Project Kami a worldwide, non-exclusive license to display, index, and score such content on the Platform.

8Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PROJECT KAMI SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, DIGITAL ASSETS, OR PLATFORM ACCESS ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
